Motivation

I recently have been in a spiral down mood where everything and anything can cause me to just break. That's when I came across SprinkleofGlitter's blog. She had recently started doing mini happies. Mini happies are when your write 5 things that are good about that day. I have also recently gotten into writing a journal so when I saw these mini happiest, I made sure to start writing mine down. Since starting a week ago I have found more positives in life and pushed the negatives aside. I feel somewhat accomplished and feel that I can do almost anything once I have written my mini happies. Obviously everyone is different but for me this has worked wonders and I am so grateful that I came across Spinkle Of Glitter's post on Facebook. Always remember to be happy and find the positives out of everyday because there are so many in the world we just have to look around and realise.

Shop My Look | Winter 2015

Hey lovelies,

My favourite store CottonOn Aus has just had new arrivals come in for winter. Some of my favourite fashion statements and basic pieces have been released and I am totally obsessed! Definitely ordering some soon. I thought I would show you what my staple pieces are for work or casual outfits and what I would wear on a day to day basis using the new items of Cotton On.

Work

If your job allows you to wear jeans, luckily mine does, I suggest these jeggings which retail for $29.95aud. They are comfortable but don't look like the conventional jegging as they are made with the same material as jeans just stretchier. They have pockets and buttons that also help to make it look like a real jean.

A nice blouse and skirt or dress also are staples in my wardrobe for the winter as my office can get warm so a midi skirt or dress paired with a blouse can be classy, work appropriate and also keep you at a temperature suited to you.

Weekends:

On weekends or days I don't have work I love wearing super basic items. I love cardigans in the winter time if I am shopping or going out for lunch as they can really dress up an outfit. Plus they keep you super warm if you get a great one like this from Cotton On. If I am going to go out I love wearing midi dresses or loose dresses with leggings or stockings underneath like the t-shirt dress pictured above.

Accessories:

Everyone who knows me personally, knows how much I love my necklaces. I have recently gotten into the stacking look and the top necklaces are perfect because they come in a pack so they have been designed to go together. I also think little black booties are a staple as you can pair them with anything. For days where it is super cold, I suggest a beanie or a hat to keep your ears warm or if you haven't washed your hair for a while it is a great way to conceal that.

I hope this has helped and you can find everything on my list and more on
www.cottonon.com.au

If you sign up too you can get 30% off your first order which is a great help.

Disclaimer: This is not a sponsored post and all of these opinions and options I have chosen on my own and will pay for on my own, I just love Cotton On and everything about their shop.

Always be Happy

Throwing away the negative

There is one main quote I admire and love telling people about, that is that a number on a scale does not define who you are and what you are worth in this world. I truly love this quote as during my younger teenage years around 13 or 14, I was really self conscious about my weight and what I looked like and scared of being judged by people. I hated going out with my friends because I thought they were so much prettier and skinnier than me but I just needed to look past all that and tell myself that I am beautiful no matter what. No number could ever define how a person is and what you are worth. YOU are worth everything and are BEAUTIFUL. Not enough people are told that each day so I am telling you now that no matter what number shows up on that scale, you are beautiful. Each to their own, a saying my mum always said and still says. Throw the scales away and remember that you are one in a million, you are beautiful and no one can ever take that away from you. Love yourself and shine through your personality because in the end, only you should believe you are beautiful. Be confident in who you are because you are gorgeous. I have only just come to realise all of this myself so I want others to know that you can do it and that you are amazing and beautiful.

Hey lovelies!

I just opened my etsy shop! I have finally jumped on the ban wagon and opened up my shop called thetiedyer. There is now a link in my blog which takes you straight there! Another hobby I have is tie-dying hence the name. It is so relaxing and exciting at the same time which is what I love so I decided to turn my hobby into something I could sell to others.

Opening my shop, I have also decided I would like to do a giveaway. I want to give away one of my custom shirts that I will be making.

All you have to do is tell me what your favourite hobby is and why you enjoy doing it and I will randomly select a person.

Finally Back!

Hi Everyone,

I have missed many days and posts on all social media and haven't been effectively writing like I should have been which is no excuse obviously. I have just had a few mishaps and family issues such as losing a family member quite close to me which has affected me in so many ways that I neglected my blog. I should have used this more to get me motivated as it is doing something I love, but none the less I am back and ready to go. Better late then never! I am so excited to get back to writing and expanding my love for beauty, fashion and food. I have decided I am going to start making videos for YouTube and start my own account which I am super excited for!

If there is any DIY, beauty or just random video ideas you would personally like to see when I start my channel up please let me know because I would really love some video inspiration!

So excited to be back and up and running to make my blog and soon to be channel amazing and better than ever!!

I am also opening an ETSY shop if anyone would be interested in having a look. I am going to be selling tie-dye shirts customer with a name and number almost like a sporting jersey, so once that is all set up I will leave links on my page!

I can't just have writing so I decided to do my OOTD 17 March 2015

Maybelline COLORsensational - Swatches

Recently I have been going through my collection and found my Maybelline COLORsensational lipsticks. I have four colours in total, Sultry Sand (710), Coral Crush (515), Hot Plum (906) and Vibrant Mandarin (914). Retailing for $16.95 aud from Priceline they have a range of 32 colours to choose from.

Sultry Sand has to be my least favourite out of the four colours I own as it feels and looks like an everyday concealer. It made my face looked washed out, my lips looked cracked and the product itself felt heavy and uncomfortable almost as if it was meant to be a concealer.

Coral Crush is a great coral red colour to spice up any nude look. The texture of coral crush was a lot smoother than sultry sand but I still felt as though it made the cracks in my lips more defiant and easier to see.

Hot plum is one of my favourites as it is an off purple/pink colour. It is great with a smokey eye or just winged eyeliner as the attention is drawn straight to the lips. Hot plum glides on smoothly and doesn't show the cracks as much as sultry sand and coral crush.

Lastly, Vibrant Mandarin is also a favourite as it is the perfect orange. It isn't too overpowering and works well with any skin tone. I personally think this colour suits a winged eyeliner with a classic, simple outfit as the attention is sent straight to the lips.

All four lipstick shades last around 4 hours with food and drinking involved. All in all, I believe they are worth the money and they have a great colour selection.

Go get your kisses on xo

Orange Everything - Mini Haul

A big day shopping for me today, although I only purchased two items. "Big ticket" items I would say just because my budget or amount of money isn't the best. I definitely have a new obsession. That obsession would be the colour orange. Plus, I have had my eye on this one particular bag for a good 5 months but couldn't bring myself to spend the $150 aud on the price tag. I eventually saved it up and bought it if I lost 5kg, which I did so I thought I would just do it just like Nike says.

Kardashian Kollection always fascinated me in the fact that they were my type of bags. The particular bag I was eyeing was the Back to Basics quilted Shopper in Melon. Retailed at $150  aud at Strandbags and $160 at David Jones it would take me forever to finally purchase it, but today was the day and I am so ecstatic that I finally have the bag I have wanted for so long!.

Since I have also been on a health kick, I decided I needed some new shoes and found the Adidas Duramo in ADIPRENE + in the colour Orange. Retailed at $189, I paid $50aud from Jim Kidd Sports. The perfect shoe for running or any exercise as it is cushioned to help support you're feet.
